Well, maybe just a bit. I made smoked salmon roulade, meatballs with mashed potatoes, and almond cake. Sounds just like IKEA&#8217;s menu \ud83d\ude41 . Alex saved the day by adding that everything tasted better than at IKEA. It is pretty easy to make and can be very presentable (mine wasn&#8217;t as presentable as it should have been). I can see myself making these on a regular basis since they are so easy to make and love.<br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients for the meatballs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">2:1 proportion of ground beef to ground pork (I had 1lb of beef to 0.5 lb of pork)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/2 cup of breadcrumbs (I prefer panko)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/2 cup of milk<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1 egg<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1 medium onion<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1 tsp of salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/2 tbsp of sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1 tbsp of freshly ground ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/2 tsp ground nutmeg<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/4 tsp ground allspice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/2 tsp of ground white pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ingredients for the sauce<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/4 cup of butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">2 tbsp minced onion<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">3 tbsp of flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">3 cups beef broth<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/2 cup heavy cream<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">1\/4 tsp white pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">salt and hot pepper to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Step 1. Prepare Meatballs. <\/strong><\/span>Preheat\u00a0oven to 400 F. Pour milk in a medium bowl and add breadcrumbs. Mix and set aside until breadcrumbs are soft. In a blender or food processor combine an onion, an egg and spices. Combine breadcrumbs, spice mixture and ground meat and mix well. Create meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and arrange them in a greased baking sheet (make sure it has raised edges so the juices won&#8217;t run over. Bake for about 15-18 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Step 2. Prepare Sauce.<\/strong><\/span> Add butter to a skillet and set to low-medium heat. Let butter to melt and add onions. Saut\u00e9 onions for about 2 minutes or untill translucent. Add flour and mix. Continue to cook until the flour mixture become has lightly browned. Gradually add beef broth mixing constantly to incorporate and avoid lumps. Continue to cook until slightly thickened and add cream and spices.
